Who is responsible
APPNOX LTD is the controller of personal data for the Seen web service. Contact info@appnox.co.uk for privacy requests.
What do we process?
We process your account identifier, name and email supplied by your sign-in provider; event settings and memberships; uploaded photos and recordings; order and payment references; and language, time zone and notification preferences. Our providers may also process IP addresses, browser information and request logs for connectivity and security. Camera and microphone access is used only when you open the relevant feature and grant permission.
Purposes and legal bases
We process accounts, events, media sharing and purchases to perform our contract with you. Security, abuse prevention and troubleshooting rely on our legitimate interests. Financial records may be kept to meet legal obligations. Optional notifications are enabled with your permission and can be disabled in your device settings or Seen account.
Who receives the data?
Google Firebase provides authentication, database, media storage and notification infrastructure; Cloudflare hosts and delivers the website; Stripe processes web payments. Google or Apple authenticates you if you choose that sign-in method. Apple and RevenueCat verify shared allowances from mobile purchases. Seen does not receive your full card number. Event membership, reveal time and host privacy settings determine who can see memories.
Retention and deletion
Account and event data is kept while we provide the service. Hosts can delete events and users can delete their accounts in settings. Deletion progress is shown until processing finishes. Financial and security records may be retained for as long as needed for legal obligations and disputes. We cannot remove copies others have already downloaded to their devices.
Browser storage and transfers
Essential cookies and device storage support sign-in, language, drafts and pending uploads. Pending media may remain on your device until uploaded or removed. Clearing browser data can delete pending files. Our service providers may process data outside your country, using contractual safeguards under applicable data protection rules.
Your rights and contact
Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, portability or restriction, or object to processing. You can withdraw consent for consent-based processing. Email info@appnox.co.uk; we may need to verify your identity. You may complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office or your local data protection authority. Seen is not directed at children under 13.
